There is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
JESUS CHRIST is the only way. In John 14:6 Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth, and
the Life: No man cometh unto the Father but by me.
The way of Salvation, is not difficult neither is it cluttered with many doctrines,
or idle traditions.
The apostle Paul says in 1 Timothy 1:15 That Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.
---For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God: Romans 3:23.
For you to be saved there are two things you need to know and one thing you need to do:
- 1st -
You need to know and acknowledge you are a sinner.
- 2nd - You need to know that Jesus Christ
is your Saviour, Acts 4: 12.
- 3rd - You need to believe that the moment you place your faith in
Jesus Christ as your Saviour you are justified from sin and saved out of its power.
Romans 3: 24 - 26, 10: 9 - 10. Verse 13 says, For whosoever -- (that's you) shall call
upon the name of the Lord shall be saved..
Jesus Christ is the Saviour and will take, and save you just as you now are and without
any pre-conditions.
All that God requires is a heart that longs to be free from sin and a faith that believes that
Jesus Christ will save all who call upon Him. In Acts 16: 25 - 31 when the philippian jailor
came to Paul and cried, what must I do to be saved? Paul's answer was; Believe on the Lord
Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved...
Now, may I say to you who have thus believed and are saved, you immediately become members of
the true church (the Body of Christ) as we are told so clearly in Acts 2: 47, The Lord added
to the church daily such as should be saved. It was not the apostles who added men and women
to the church; it was the Lord. It is still the Lord who adds men and women to the True Church,
even the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. Joining a man made religious
institution will not save you, it will only encumber you with rules and regulations, devised by
man to keep you in submission to them and to promote their own cause.
The Lord dwelleth NOT in temples made with hands. Acts 7: 48...He dwells by His Spirit within YOU.
You are the temple of God, and He wants you to worship Him from within, -- in Spirit and in Truth
-- for the father seeketh such to worship Him. John 4:23
If you come to God in faith with a searching heart, asking the Lord to forgive your sins and reveal
Himself to you through His word, then God will honor your faith and show you His Glory!
Draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh to You. The more we seek Him the more of His blessed
self He reveals to us, until at last in the glory we shall behold His face and be exactly like
Him, for we shall see Him as He is...
The most important thing in your life is to get to know the Lord.. Many will come before the Lord
in the last day and say, Lord in your name we cast out devils, healed the sick, raised the dead, etc.,
He will say to them, depart from me I knew you not!! They knew all about Him, they knew His word and
used it to heal the sick, but they themselves did not have a relationship with the Lord.
How you might ask, can one achieve this kind of a relationship? One thing for sure, it is easy to let
the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of the pursuit of riches and the lust of other things choke
out our time for family worship, meditation, prayer and the seeking of the mind of the Lord.. But
nevertheless our uttermost goal must be to get to know Him. -- For to know Him is to love Him.
--Oh to Love Him.
My friend how wonderful to know the satisfaction of just loving Him; For eye hath not seen nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.
God is not preparing such unseen and unheard of glory for those who are technically right, or doctrinally
right, or for people who spend their lives trying to accomplish their religious ambitions, He is preparing
such glories for those -- Who Love Him--
When Jesus was asked which was the greatest commandment in the law, He answered: Thou shalt Love the
Lord thy God with all thy soul and with all thy mind and with all thy strength.. Even the blindest man
can see that he whose heart is joined to God in love can never do aught but that which pleases God.
Instinctively he will love his fellow man, he cannot take the name of the Lord in vain, for it is the
Lord he loves. Neither is it possible for him to covet that which is his neighbours, or do anything
that the law forbids--not because the law says, thou shalt not do this or that, but because the love
of the Lord constrains him, and he can do naught but that which overflowing love within commands.
Let me exhort you: Get to know your God.. Spend much time alone with His word, study the Bible - don't
be in a hurry, let the Spirit quicken it to you, meditate on it - let it establish itself deep in your
inner self, until it becomes a part of you and you a part of it.
Make a real effort to withdraw from the din and noise of the thousand voices around you - concentrate
on the Christ dwelling in you. You will find it a very peaceful state. As you begin to study God's
word you may find it hard to stop your mind from wandering, this is natural, for it has been accustomed
to wandering all over the world in an instant of time.
When during your time of meditation and prayer your mind wanders, don't try to deal with it by changing
what you are thinking, rather withdraw from your mind and turn within to where the Lord is. For after
all that is where God dwells; In You ..You are the temple of God! Or as the Bible says, The Kingdom
of God is within YOU ...
My prayer for you as you start out on this wonderful adventure with out Lord, cannot be put better than
what the apostle Paul said in Ephesians 1: 17 - 20, ..that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father
of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: the eyes of your
understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and the riches of the
glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who
believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from
the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places. (read the whole book of Ephesians
many, many times, asking the Spirit of God to open it up to you).
